A Challenge!!!! ----> This one will only occur if we have 8 different participants. <----It will be a card swap - with a twist. Each person will make four similar/identical cards to send. You will get back four cards. You will need to choose a card type from the list (each person only chooses one). I may have the name wrong, but the photo indicates the type I mean: Open through November 25. Cards due to me by December 10th. No particular theme. Just nice to have out to people by the 15th! 1) Remember - best work only. Send things you will be proud to have your name on. 2) Do not sign the insides - these are for others to send out. 3) all cards to have envelopes come with them - that way if size is a bit different - it all works. 4) At least two embellishments 5) include mailing instructions if the cards are extremely thick - i.e. over 1/4" 6) there are a lot of different images with these cards. Most tutorials are from Split Coast Stampers. Just type the card type into google for tons of ideas. 1) Triangle Fold Card Instructions : Triangle Fold 2) Triple Tier Slider Card Instructions: Triple Tier Slider Card3) Pop Up Stage Card Instructions: Pop Up StageKMG - Wiper Card Instructions: Wiper Card5) Double Diamond Fold Card Instructions: double diamond fold cardCeceparsley - Double Gate Fold Card Instructions: Double Gate Fold CardUnforgettable - Accordion Card Instructions: Accordion Fold Card8) T-slide Card Instructions: T Slide CardPlease send each card/envelope in a separate baggie. Include either a post-it or something so the receiver knows who sent it!

Sounds great! Once you decide, let me know. I have made several of the cards there. They look complex, but really aren't.

Is this swap still on? I don't see the needed 8 participants and I would need to really get working on these if it is still on.

Can we do with 5? That way we would each get one of the cards.

I'm game but how many cards do we make---5 and we keep one of those? That would make sense. I just want to make sure because with 8 people, we would have made 4 cards.

I am torn with my answer as I am sure the reason for the 8 minimum was to get some new swappers. But with that being said- I am good to go with the amount we have.

While that was my hope, I don't want to disappoint the talent group we already have. These cards are a bit of a challenge, but all will be fun and I can't wait to create.
So, if everyone is on board with it, this swap will go on. I won't close until 11/25 as stated above. At this time, four cards per person need to be mailed to me, but if there are a few days left for alterations - so here is hoping. Please include envelopes

Funny! LOL! I felt a little overwhelmed with work and other stuff so Cec switched with me. Well, I made a double gate folding card in just 10-15 minutes. It'll be less now that I know how to make them. I felt a little foolish for switching but then fell in like with the card I made. I may not be able to give them away!!! On a fun note, we went shopping at a thrift store near me. Last year we hit pay dirt there and found matching Christmas sweaters. Today, not so much, although she found some clothes and a stamp or two. I got a blazer in deep purple and a scrapbook for $3--really pretty. My big jackpot was a purchase of a Christmas ware from Farberware. It's a complete 8 piece set minus 2 cups. It's probably worth over $120. It was selling for $63 at the thrift store. I got ~30% off and got everything for $48.91. Not bad. Now all DH has to do is bring the boxes in from the car..... Off to make the cards!

Brief reminder - this swap is going with the 5 participants. Do NOT sign the cards - these are for others to send out if they wish. Package to arrive at my house next week (aka - aim for mailing by Monday at the latest) I will plan to have these swapped out by Friday the 11th, however, meeting with a boss and the headquarters is not in town, so not positive if it will be Friday or not. That is the goal, but Saturday is the backup!
