Care to join me in recording 2017 in 24 pages? Each month make a double page layout of photos to remember that month by. We would love to see what you have created, so post your layouts here.
If you like the competition of a challenge than do the following Post your two pages by the 15th of the following month. So, January's layouts would be due by February 15. February's layouts would be due by March 15 etc. Everyone who completes the challenge at the end of the year (all 12 months) Will receive a scrappy prize. Even if you are unable to post by the challenge deadline you still will end up with an album done by the end of the year. That's a great prize in itself.

And if you are determined to get your self organized in the new year, this is a great way to use up some of your swaps. Especially the one sheet thrifty

So, do the photos need to be from the month we are posting for or can they be any photos?

They would be photos from the month that you were working on. The reason I did and extended deadline was so that you could have printing time if needed. Think along the lines of project life except instead of taking a photo a day for a year you're making it a little simpler by just recording some photos monthly. It does not matter if you have one photo on a page or five. That part is up to you. When you're done though you will have a years worth of photos that you have taken in 2017.
Don't put pressure on yourself by thinking of just photos of somewhere you have been or something you have done. It could be as simple as taking A photo once a month out of the same door or same window etc. and seeing how the view changes. I was thinking of doing something like that along the lines of the garden maybe. Another thing I may record monthly is something that I may have around the house that makes me smile. Or some month you may just feel like recording some meals that you made and scrap the recipe card for it.
Hope this helps.

Ok! Very cool idea and much easier! I am sitting here thinking I have to go out and figure pictures. Love the idea of taking a photo out the window (or whatever) Thanks!

Great idea. I am years behind on photos so maybe this would inspire me to scrap some current events. It will make a great album at the end of the year.

I started trying to do yearly albums last year but am spotty in my progress. Cec is way ahead of me, but I will use this as incentive to get it done. It would be great to get 2017 done. Thanks!

Looks like I need to take a better photo when I have more time, but I think you can get the idea This month I went with photos of things that make me smile and some of the things I made in January (if fabric was involved, I included swatches)

DS #2 went to Costa Rica on January 6 as the second part of a college course in the fall. I got this picture January 7 and got the shock of my life. I never thought he'd hold a snake--and an anaconda at that. I don't have a whole lot of details about the trip because he went right back to school when he returned to the U.S. He's not exactly very talkative to his parents and so there are big gaps in actual conversation times. He comes home around Feb 25 so I hope we can catch up then.

Congrats to all who started their 2017 Album.
If you were unable to make the deadline, do not despair If you complete all 12 months by the deadline, you will be getting an awesome prize. BUT Even if you missed a month here or there, for each month that you complete the challenge on time your name will be entered in a random draw at the end of the year for a scrappy prize. ALSO If you did not make the challenge on time, but still completed it- please share, we would enjoy seeing your work.
