I thought I would start this thread for a place to share favorite Lay outs that you have created. They do not need to be ones you just made. If you would like you could also post why it is one of your favorites. Whether a technique you tried or because of the photos, etc.

Great idea! I'll be sure to post my favorites soon. I was just looking back at DD's life and realize I seem to have lost my creative edge. This just may help to bring it back. It's also a nice way to get inspiration from other people.

I don't usually do much journaling so I think that may be one reason I really like this. I also liked how cutting the photo in to pieces turned out.

I noticed that a lot of my favorites just have one photo. I don't usually do that as it is not practical when trying to scrap many photos like a trip or event etc. Guess that is why they stand out to me. I also like the look of the machine stitching here. The butterfly was my first attempt at this technique. It is on acetate that I filled the back in with ultra fine glitter.

On this LO I used 6 of my photos to make my background paper

This holds a place in my favorites because we re-enacted a photo from 22 years prior for my sisters wedding.

I like how the curve of the paper represents the donut and I used a product called flower soft to mimic the sprinkles. It has great dimension that does not really show in the photo.

This is one of my favorite layouts because of the simplicity and colors but most of all the photo. I love the sense of speed form the blurred images in the background and the expressions on my girls faces. this was on the teacup ride at Disney world. I had no idea the photo would come out so well when I snapped it. Such fun memories! I also don't do many LO's with just one photo, but this one was special.

I like the LO because of the way I used a lot of different doo-dads to come together and make a cohesive LO. This is also the earliest picture of me that my parents had.

This is special because it is the first page I ever scrapbooked. It was almost 8 years ago, sitting in Cec's kitchen. The picture also represents the first time I ever saw John Tesh in concert after listening to him for 15 years.

I think this is my second page. This is notable because I like the the paper that Cec was able to cut with her Cricut machine that the words Bastille Day are on. We then dyed it in tea water and made it look very old. It really added to the page. You have to look closely for some of the cuts but they are there. If you like instrumentals, Bastille Day is a beautiful song by John Tesh. Other favorites are: In a Child's Eyes and Canta Domine.

Found my first scrapbook. It's from the 60's, not quite the same as today's version
It has things like this inside-an autographed scarf from Girl Scout camp
and newspaper clippings and backs of cereal boxes like this..
what blows my mind from the above shot, is that I could never have imagined all those years ago listening to the Monkees and watching them on TV, that my
9 year old grandson is now really good friends with Micky Dolenz (as in has his phone number and gets calls from him and is greeted on his Birthdays with a wake up call and Happy
Birthday song to him) truly amazing

I was looking back to see if I could find a thread that had photos from when I did 2 years of monthly double page layouts. Could not find but came across this thread. It was fun to look back and I thought we might add to it. If you have any favorite layouts and would like to share and maybe let us know why they are some favorites, please post here. I know we can’t all post photos yet but maybe when we can, it will be fun to share.
