So, I've had a piece of scrappy paper for several years. I actually think I got it at CKC in Lancaster probably7 years ago. One side is black and white hounds tooth the other side is a variety of cameos. I wonder why we don't see more use of cameos. Anyone ever seen them as a popular embellishment? Junk journals often are done in a Victorian theme. I don't know the history of cameos but I don't see them used there either. I'm going to do some research and get back to you...in case you are the least bit interested. I finally fussy cut several of them and will use them for embellishments. Here is what I found. Cameo historyMentions Queen Victoria as liking them. Isn't that related to Victorian styles? So many questions. A rabbit hole has been created!

Yes I think of cameos as Victorian. I saw a really cool purple one once. You mentioned being at CKC in Lancaster. Did you used to live in that area?

My sister traveled to Lancaster for CKC before I started scrapping. I think it was the closest one from Ohio back in the day. That CKC was the best according to her. We went twice I believe and was able to meet a couple people from the CK message boards. It was fun but a LONG drive from western Kentucky, which is where I lived at the time.
