Time for another one sheet thrifty swap. A one sheet thrifty swap is taking one sheet of patterned paper per participant and making whatever you want from it using up as much of the sheet as possible. Here is the twist- This time you may only use solid white or ivory or cream. That is it, no darker. You must use a good quality cardstock (12x12). That is the only paper you can use, just that 1 sheet, nada, zilch, no. other.paper. Got it? What can you make- borders, tags, photo mats, journaling items, cards, deco squares, inchies, cricut cuts etc. Look at the swap guidelines for ideas. Your items need to be embellished at least twice. That does not mean you need to go buy embellishments at the store. Inking, stitching, mists, markers, etc count as embellishments. Also stamped images.eyelets, brads, buttons, flowers, bling. ribbon 3 dimensional stickers etc. You may use flat stickers but they do not count as embellishments. See, not so bad once you start thinking of all the things you do with plain cardstock. This is a great swap to use up your stash (and your brain cells Packaging- place all the items for 1 participant in a sealed bag with your name or message board name inside. (you do not need to make the same thing for everyone.) Make sure that your return packaging is large enough to include 12 inch borders as this is a popular 1 sheet thrifty swap item. there will be a limit of 7 participants (so the most you would be sending is 6) I will open a second group if needed. I have made the due date the same as the match box swap to save on postage in case you would like to sign up for both (but not necessary) So, who is ready to challenge themselves with plain cardstock?

Yes, sorry I did not make that clear. Embellishing can be any color/colors you want. Only the cardstock is restricted.

I'm sorry that I have to hold off on this one. I promised myself I would do a stack of pages with swaps that I have before I joined another. They are taking up so much room because I love to do swaps.

Karen, You know, I'll join this bc I have yet to use one single swap item. I have nice items, but I don't have the "mojo" to be creative. This will help. K

This one is proving a bit tougher than I expected. Anyway - not to blow any surprises, but is the below photo close to what we are to do? Not layering paper is really, really, really hard to resist (ok, gave in and did so with one piece . While I know I have enough 'stuff' on, embellishment wise, I want to be sure this is what the goal would be for this swap. Thanks! (no, not all of them will look like this)

Distress stain - not sure if I used it how I am supposed to, but I liked the effect Figured if this wasn't right, I had a plan for what pictures to use with this set

I'm at 3 1/2 sets made. My last paper is coming along well so I intend to do some scrapping tomorrow. This is one of the sets I made and I think it's my favorite so far. I decided to try and create the items with just ink. So I took 3 colors and sat at my table and got my mojo going. It was a ton of fun.

Lucinda, Thanks for the update. Karen, I have 4 down and one to go. So I might not mail until Thursday. I am in the process of writing a minimum 10 page paper and I have to work S/S/T/W. The paper is due 3/30.
