How do you prefer to start a scrapbook page? Do you like to use cardstock or is paper ok with you?
I never thought about it much until moving some pages around. Some are being mounted to cardstock as paper gets a bit flimsy. I have heard paper is lighter so preferred though too.
Your thoughts?
Also - anyone still use sketches?

I usually started with a cardstock background.
I never was much of a sketch person.

I usually use cardstock or sturdy patterned paper as a base for my pages.
I use sketches for most of my LOs although sometimes the sketch is just a jumping-off place with the finished page having little resemblance to the sketch.

I use cardstock or pattern paper whichever is the best fit for my page of photos. I use a sketch for almost every layout. Quite often the layout is very similar to the sketch. Once in awhile the sketch is just a jumping off point.

I use cardstock when the LO is more photos and less embellishments. i use paper when I am adding embelllishments so the LO doesn’t end up too bulky in my album

My base is always cardstock. I think it is stronger and holds up better.
99% of the time I use a sketch.
