So frustrating! It's my solace and I want time to do it. It calms me down.
Too busy with Thanksgiving, the golf league and piano practice to play with my paper.
I can't "schedule" to craft because I can't schedule creativity. I did slip in a little time while DH was watching Yellowstone last Sunday.
Anyone else with this problem? (Well of course we likely ALL have this problem.)
My vent...

The answer to your question- Because we enjoy it, we don’t prioritize that. Always something we deem more important.

We’re always doing for others, so little time for self.

Both, very good answers. Thank you for the insight.

Ditto the above.
That said, I am trying to make the time. Personal time to relax and create is important.

It IS important! This is a busy time for me (golf league, not holidays, although I've taken on Thanksgiving).
I was able to spend a couple hours a week ago in my craft room and my stress just melted away.
Haven't had time since.
Now, being retired, i could drop other activities, but I don't want to. I need to present piano daily and I want to play golf.
Soon there will be time! I hope!

I usually spend one evening a week doing something scrappy. Hubbie does his own thing that night. I have to admit it's been more difficult lately since I'm still working full time and we're short handed.

It’s hard for me because when I am at home there is always something else that takes priority. Cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc. That is why I go on retreats!
But I will say that I have been making time to craft. Last Friday after work I ordered Chipotle and after we ate I got my stuff out to work on cards. I left a few things out that I needed to fussy cut and then on Sunday afternoon I finished the project I was working on. I am hoping to do something similar this weekend.

I have to admit it's been more difficult lately since I'm still working full time and we're short handed. Totally get this. Working 13+ hours a day means exhaustion when home. I am looking forward to this time. I have almost 3 weeks of regular schedule (4, 9 hour days per week) with no extended times. It goes until December 19. That is another reason I am hoping to complete a December Daily. Intentional time to craft will be taken.

In the little free time I’ve had lately, I’ve been watching Christmas movies and reading. But, I worked so much in the last month, I have 3 weeks of comp time starting week after next. I am going to clear the cobwebs & dust from my scrapbook area and enjoy myself!

Comp time was always such a grey area when I worked. I'm glad you are able to earn and use it when you want. Three weeks off! I will be hard to go back!
