Typically, the day after Thanksgiving is the day we set up the Christmas Tree and Christmas lights outside.
Favorite food - yams and roasted vegetables.

I L O V E Thanksgiving leftovers, especially when I've done the cooking. I'm not a big fan of turkey but love all the carbs laden foods!
We are having five friends over.
This year: turkey Ham Ham and green beans (from our garden) Corn casserole Mac and cheese Sweet potatoes (just baking them. No brown sugar, etc. Unless people want to add it) DRESSING (made with sausage. No oysters here!) Mashed potatoes Heavenly hash (mandarin orange, pineapple, coconut, small marshmallows, etc.) Crescent rolls cranberries pies
What am I missing? Yum yum!!! Days to prepare, eaten in 20 minutes!

My favorite is stuffing/dressing-no sausage OR oysters. My Nana’s recipe is the best!

Dressing is my favorite. SIL makes it (along with the turkey and gravy) using MIL’s recipe. It is so good!
There will be so much food this year with five people contributing. I’ve been assigned the mashed potatoes along with a veggie tray and a dessert.

I love the turkey and sweet potato casserole (no marshmallows). Another tradition I love is my mom makes deviled eggs and a raspberry pie for dessert.

Saute onions, celery and apple with LOTS of butter. Add fresh cubed bread, mix well. Add (what I think is a lot) dry marjoram. My Nana stuffed it in the bird, plus a baking dish full. I don't put it in the bird, though it does taste better that way. Why do these things always taste a little different than when the original person makes it? My husband's Mom Mom made the BEST Christmas (sugar)cookies, and no one can duplicate exactly.

I am good with turkey on a homemade bun, stuffing and pumpkin pie. I can do without the rest.
We are going to my aunts for dinner. I always make the green bean casserole.
