It was going to happen Thursday or not at all I said. Somehow I got it up and decorated. Need to get the rest of my decorations out, but at least the tree is up.
We had our Golf league Christmas party on Wednesday. A live (and lively) band. The ladies kept the dance floor hot and we had a great time. One of those occasions when you know you don't dance well, but who cares! Our 96 and 97 year old members danced too. Why wait that long to decide even if you can't dance, there is still fun to be had trying?
After all that fun I didn't sleep well Wednesday night so I was operating on fumes yesterday. I went to bed early last night, ready for another day today!
I still need to do Christmas shopping for a couple friends. Maybe tomorrow I can get that done.
Are you on schedule, done, woefully behind?

Sounds like a fun party. Glad you had a good time.
I’m on schedule with Christmas prep. Should get everything done in time.

Sounds like a great party!
More or less on schedule. Got the tree up Wednesday. Haven’t had time to decorate it yet. Tonight probably (I got the ladder out!). Getting ready to head out for the 3 hr drive to go get DD from college(then 3 hrs back). On the way I’ll plan my Christmas dinner.

No tree this year due to the puppy. I don't have the time or energy to keep her away from it. I did hang the stockings, though.
Shopping is done, but I am waiting on one gift to be delivered. It should be here Friday. Everything is ready to wrap and hopefully DH will help with that tomorrow so that I can say I am ready for Christmas!
My extended family decided to do a secret santa type thing this year rather than buy gifts for everyone. It has eliminated a lot of stress and also made it so I did not have to shop for as many gifts. Obviously saved a little money, too. We are mostly adults and don't need much and quite honestly Christmas has become a bit of a gift card exchange, which seems silly. We did leave the under 25 crew out of the secret santa and we are buying gifts for those 4.
I am looking most forward to Christmas Eve when my babies all come home and we exchange gifts, play games and just hang out. It's quite possibly my favorite day of the year.

Joan-good move with the puppy! I figured I hang the plastic balls on the low branches to survive the tail. But he keeps stealing them. We have to block him out of the room or keep a good eye on him!
I too love having all the kids home!

Fortunately, our cats are enjoying laying under the tree and haven't bothered anything. I didn't put my 45 year old bulbs on the tree. Yes, they came from Kmart, but they are the first bulbs I ever bought. I remember buying them and worrying about the price! ($1.75 for a box). Actually, they have aged quite nicely. I put them in a wooden reindeer so they are out and I am enjoying them.
