Anyone up for a Year long challenge? I know Karen did this one year (I think). I enjoy looking back at the albums from the years I participated. Some had more than one page, others were a struggle to finish one! it is not as complex as you may think. It is pretty simple - one layout per month. Catch - you must upload a photo of the page. Rules? 1) Physical, digital - doesn't matter. 2) Photos - must be at least one per layout. 3) layout size? Your choice - Just make sure all 12 layouts are the same size. (12 x 12 or 6x8 or 8x10 or whatever) 4) pages must be finished - aka, journaling, title, photos (cover faces if you wish), embellishments (if any), etc.. 5) Deadline - last day of each month Prize - yes, just have to figure out what (likely a gift certificate to a shop in your country so this one is open to anywhere in the world) While you can post as many layouts as you wish, only the first one counts towards the drawing at the end of the year. You must participate in every month or you loose your entry. Sounds easy now, not so much as the year progresses . Any interest?

I did it for two years in a row. Enjoy looking back at them. I made mine a little different. They we’re a 2 page layout for each month. I chose to do completely random photos for the month. That made it no pressure! Could be a meal, favorite collection, view out the window. Made it very easy to complete the whole year. I am up for the challenge, the only challenge is posting the photo so let’s hope that can happen.

Love the eclectic nature of them!

To keep it simple. RULES
1) Post to this thread. 2) you must upload photo by last day of month, midnight CST.
Two prizes
Grand prize - anyone who posts all 12 months on time is entered into a drawing. This one is open world wide to anyone who has a post count (by end of year) of at least 50 by 12/31/2023 at midnight.
Achievement prize - one entry per layout for anyone who posts the 12 months, but misses the timeframe. Yes, you could do 12 layouts in a single day - one for each month of the year. Again, post count of at least 50 is required (aka participation on the site). Typically not an issue for anyone who stops by once or twice a month.

Just to clarify, we don't have to make a layout from your monthly suggestion list. It can be about any subject?

That is exactly right.
The list is just ideas if needed.

When you say end of month do you mean the following month? e.g. January layout due by last day of February?

Not that it has to be the same but if it helps, when we did these before the deadline was the 15th of the following month.

Since there is no requirement for photos to be taken during the actual month, the deadline is the end of the specific month.
ex: January - has a January 31st deadline. February is the 28th, etc..

Thanks for the clarification. I was thinking it was the same as before where we made layouts of photos that we took that month. I am guessing that Cecily thought the same. I like that this encourages you to get layouts done of photos you already have.

You can do the ones from the month (I plan too). However, I don’t want to require, just encourage getting a dozen layouts completed.

I saw a quote the other day- We live as long as we are remembered.
That made me decide that I am going to try to use this challenge to get some heritage photos scrapped.

I love scrapping heritage photos and info about the people in them. I have four albums in progress — one each for my mom’s side and my dad’s, and the same for DH’s family. I am happy to make sure that these people are not forgotten.

Thanks Gayle
I used what was written on the back of the photo as my journaling then decided to copy it so as to see my Grandmother’s handwriting.
