I've done both shopping and scrapping! Do tell… I bought eight TH distressed oxides (I put that gift certificate towards them-thank you!), an alpha die set, and a couple die cut packs, one is from 49 & Market. I've been scrapping with ACOT challenges and completed 5 of those. The challenges are open through the weekend if anyone wants to play along for the chance to win gc.

Hope you get to scrap this international Scrapbook Day! Oh yea, and SHOP!! I went on a road trip for NSD to Scrapbook Generations in Springfield MO! It was a long drive (I went with a friend), but we had a good time. The store was not as big as I was expecting it to be, but they had lots of fun stuff.

I’ve always wanted to visit that store. My niece used to live in Springfield; we were there for her wedding but that was before I knew about SG. She has moved back to Michigan now so I doubt I’ll get there again. So glad you had a good time!

So glad you had a good time! I am glad that I went as that was always something that I wanted to do. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed. It was smaller than I thought it would be. And while they have loads of stuff in their on-line store, the real store had mostly papers and embellishments, with a few dies and other things. I did manage to spend a bit of money, but would have bought more had they had a bigger variety of product. Both Debbie Sanders and Karen were working that day and they were both super nice and friendly.

I've heard about SG. Do you use their "bank it" program? I guess a good way to avoid shipping fees. I think they sponsor a big crop once a year too.
I visited a scrapbook store similar to as you describe. They sponsored a big crop and had a good online presence. The real store was not totally impressive. Not what I expected.
Glad you were able to make the trip. Now you know!

Glad you were able to make the trip. Now you know! SG hosts quite a few virtual crops throughout the year, all but the NSD crop are free. They are on Facebook and the group is SG Scrap squad if you want to check it out. I do not order a lot from them on-line, but the bank it program is a good way to avoid shipping costs.
