My daughter wrote this yesterday. I discovered it when I logged onto Facebook this morning. It is a wonderful reminder.

Just like anyone else, I am guilty of looking at the world only to judge and hate what I see. The first thing that comes to mind when we decided we hate something is to instantly bad mouth everything about it. I am not saying that all the wrong in this world is right, because I do not believe it any of it is. We all see the wrong around us and we scream about it. What we are not doing is remembering what God has told us. In the Bible Jesus tells us, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” (John 13:34)
This means that no matter what we see, we must remember that we are commanded to love one another just as Jesus loves us all. Every sin is equal in God’s eyes and that makes all of us equally guilty. Hating someone for the things they’ve done is a sin even though it feels right. We are to love and forgive them remembering that God will judge everyone, we will not. In the Bible Jesus tells us, “But love your enemies; do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father is also merciful. Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive and you shall be forgiven.” (Luke 6:35-37)
God loves us all no matter what we say, think, or do. We need to remember God’s love and share His love rather than our hate.
