Hi everyone! It's another Friday. How has your week been? Any good plans for the weekend?

Hi everyone! While Fridays don't have the same weight they used to, it does mark the end of structured and planned events.
We have a very ill cat that is causing heartbreak and worry. We took her to a neurologist this week. What we had believed was a recurring back issue (problems walking) is in reality likely an autoimmune disorder. She is scheduled for a nerve and muscle biopsy on May 31. That still may not provide a definitive diagnosis. It's not going to be cheap. (There's my trip to Hawaii I wasn't going to take anyway.) She's only three and a special part of our family so we are going to fight to get her healthy again.
I've been working on paperwork to receive a lump sum payout from a previous employer. I have to supply copies of our SS cards. DH can't find his so we need to get a replacement before that can be mailed.
As for the weekend, nothing special planned here. My usual playing with paper and a daily piano practice session. Of course, looking after Sissy.
I watched a YT video Wednesday that I'm anxious to try this weekend.
Hope all is well with you.

Kathy, hope your kitty comes through with a diagnosis. That is the hardest part.
I had 2 of my kids visiting early in the week. While they were at a baseball game, I finished a wreath for my DD. which of course I forgot to take a picture before she took it with her. She has put an order in for a Fall wreath be ause she knows I work So Slow.
My box of cards for Operation Gratitude is almost ready for mailing. Looks like I will have alittle over 200 to ship out next Friday. Once this box is gone, I will start on Fall & Christmas cards.
Today is my monthly $5 Block class at my Local Quilt Store. I am trying to be a good customer and ignore their lackluster performance. The fabric is Tim Holtz. I am so out of the loop that I did not know he did fabric.
I hope you have a great weekend…

Hi everyone! It's another Friday. How has your week been? Any good plans for the weekend? I hope you can get good news about your kitty, Kathy. Wow, Pat, 200 cards! That is so awesome! I just delivered six to a friend and thought I was doing well. She wanted cards of encouragement to give to people undergoing chems. Not a lot going on here this weekend. We’ll make our weekly visit to MIL, who isn’t doing well. We had to cancel our Mother’s Day dinner because she was unable to go. I have been working to clear out and organize our second bedroom which catches all the stuff we don’t know where to put. I want to find the space to make some cloth handbags and totes. One thing I realized while cleaning up is that I have way too much fabric!

Hubby is gone to the family cottage to put the dock and boat in for the summer. We will go up as a family next weekend for Memorial day. While he's gone I'll do a little painting in our upstairs bathroom, weed some flower beds, and scrapbook. Not to mention the usual housework. Wait, hubbys gone,I probably won't do much of that. Lol!

Pat, 200 cards great project! I've decided that the only way I will make cards is to sign up for a class or two. I'm not there right now, but something on the horizon.

Oh Gayle! Go directly to your craftroom! This isn't the time for paint brushes or touch weeds (except a quick craft break)!

I went on a scrappy retreat this past weekend!
I didn't get much done, I worked on card classes, made some graduation cards and played with my StampWheel!
It was a much needed getaway, though.

I thought the stamp wheel would work well for creating wreaths (which I have not tried) and for the C9 turn-a-bout stamps. I tested it on the C9 stamps. Let's just say it did not go well. I got terrible coverage. I am not sure if it was the stamp that I chose or the inks or what, but I tried several things and nothing worked how I thought it would. I don't think the stamp wheel would be ideal for just stamping 1 image, it's a bit of work to use it. I will continue to use my MISTI and continue to play with the wheel to see if I actually like it, but my initial thought is it isn't the best tool for the type of stamping that I do.

Thanks so much for the review Joan. I was curious about the hype during the virtual crop. I don’t think I’m missing anything. The Misti works for me.
